The Superstruct DB is now integrated into Reconstruct! Check it out on the "What's New" Tab.

Nope. This is a self-directed, grass roots superstruct; a way for people to connect on this specific issue. But there's another superstruct that might be more what you're thinking. It's similar but seems more artistic than what this is intended to be.

that's okay. I thought you guys were into making the visualizations... i just wanted to see a visual representation, easy to navigate, of the presence of Superstructs on the Internet. :)

"Wouldn't it go from a Superthreat Branch to a Superstruct? How do you see the relation SEHI/Superstruct?"

On a different tree it might. Or perhaps there project trunk, the main superstruct branches, and SEHI twigs off the main branches. Or maybe there are fruit hanging from the branches. Whichever way you wish to visualize it is how you should be able to visualize it. And I was also thinking dendrites might be a better visual to help with the overlap, but maybe that's too complex.

I'd specify my interest if I were you. You probably represent many, but not all. So your solution will probably help many understand the data much better than they can now. And if, during the solution process with those who assist you, the idea evolves, there's nothing wrong with that.

unfortunately, i am not able to enter SL. My video card doesn't support it. :(

I understand the main branches (Superthreats), but not the SEHI 'leaf'. Wouldn't it go from a Superthreat Branch to a Superstruct? How do you see the relation SEHI/Superstruct?

I guess they are both things i'd be interested in seeing: where on the Internet a particular Superstruct exists, and where a SEHI 'moves'.

A SEHI or a Superstruct can belong to more than one Superthreat. A SEHI can be part of more than one Superstruct... and people can be interested in following a SEHI or a Superstruct. (They're both interesting)

So I guess whatever visualization you consider appropriate, it would have to be dynamic, so i can specify my interest when visualizing, right?

How about dendrites instead of trees?

btw, this isn't too far from what I've already started in the SLS with the S3DB venue: people can add a 3D object which represents them to a circular walkway. The objects have a link to the person's primary web presence and sub-objects which are hovering text feeds. This way you can "walk" through the SEHI's information.

Feel free to join the S3DB superstruct and visit the venue. It's open to the public now, but will be restricted to members soon (to prevent griefing).

@Marco - more I think about this, the more I'd like to see this as a tree with branches for each superthreat (SEHI priority #1) and then a SEHI "leaf". Each leaf could have "web-veins" linking to those sites. You could pluck a copy of the leaf and attach it to your own "tree" (like ornaments on a Christmas tree, maybe). You could color the leaves or maybe they change color when a feed indicates recent activity.

This is the sort of thing the CloudShapers is really about. Thinking of the data as something with which you are happy to interact so that people are encouraged to consume it.

Hello Antonio.

I'm posting this request to the SuperStruct main site as well, in order that more people will be aware of it and perhaps join you in accomplishing this one. Though I'd like to see more than lists; there are superstructs for that purpose. The CloudShapers is all about making those lists easily digestable.

I have one request for you! :)
How about a list of visualization which shows the extent of Superstruct presence on the web? - to have an idea of where everybody is, or all the places on the Internet where the Superstruct has reached.

It doesn't have to be complex... maybe something as simple as a list, showing for example:

The Alliance Superstruct:
- @Superstruct website
- Alliance website
- @Restruct website

Museum of Impossible Things Superstruct:
- @Reconstruct
- @Superstruct
- @ New World Report wiki
- website

... that way, if I am interested in a particular Superstruct I can see where they 'exist' on the web, rather than trying to find out by jumping from one place to another...

Not quite related, but here's a sketch I made. You can completely ignore it, i was just toying with the idea when I discovered your Superstruct. :)
