Well, I don't know if "we" are necessarily, but the cows and their handlers are. At least some of them. Others, heifers mostly, are being evaluated for Bovine Assisted Learning and Bovine Assisted Psychotherapy programming such as was begun about 20 years ago in the field of Equine Assisted such things - see www.eagala.org for example. Good points. I am happy to tell you that designers are right ow developing pasture Tents that allow the gases to waft up and are then collected and funneled appropriately. As for manure and urine collection - the cow patties can be dried and burned. That's easy. The collection of urine is trickier but could be overcome if it was tolerated by defining as watering the pasture and just collected during scheduled milking times. No, we won't milk that too, but we will construct the dairy barn with nicely sloped floors that have a central drain. Viola! Suggestions highly regarded - keep 'em comin'. oh and about the diapers - animals find them as embarrassing as you would. No go.

In spite of the stench, the animal ation is clear. Got me thinking. Seems like a lot of gas to be lost between animal and funnel. How about a diaper connected to a backpack or saddle for collection? The purpose is to gather urine for reprocessing into water, feces for manure, and farts for methane. The backpacks recycled but always on. Free fully-functioning cows don’t do things on schedule do they? Don’t they eat all day long and fart 24 hours? The backpack units could be exchanged at milking time. Too bad I don't know much about cows and how they would tolerate being "dressed up". And how about the bulls?
