Suprises from “On High”

Well, I never thought this would happen!

It’s not everyday a total stranger comes up to me with an ominously futuristic satellite phone. He said, “Reverend Sparker, I have a call for you,” dialed, and handed me the phone. Once the connection was made, I heard my old name and then, “This is the president of the Unitarian Universalist Association.”

Small Miracles

I’m tired and not feeling well today, but that just may be the effects of last night’s dinner. When I arrived at the hosts’ home, things were a terrible mess. Clearly, they (I won’t use their name here, for obvious reasons) had succumbed to what’s now being termed, “superthreat depression.” The house was in disarray a terrible mess.
